Some Houston-area schools are warning parents that they’ll have to pay for computers damaged by students copying a viral TikTok trend.
The Chromebook Challenge has gained traction on social media sites like TikTok and encourages students to shove metal objects, such as lead pencils or paperclips, into the ports of school-issued laptops, which can lead to sparks, smoke and even fires.
