The City of Humble said on Friday that E. coli bacteria was found in one of its water wells during testing done on Thursday, May 8. City officials have isolated the affected well and started chlorination procedures. They said these bacteria can cause illness, particularly in vulnerable populations.
The drinking water in the system later tested within normal ranges and chlorination, said city officials in the announcement, saying that there is no boil water requirement at this time.
