HOUSTON — Miziah Brice Shepherd, who was wanted in connection with a 2020 arson that caused an explosion at Bar 5015 on Almeda Road, is now in federal custody, the FBI announced Tuesday.
Shepherd is expected to make his initial federal court appearance at 2 p.m. Tuesday. He was previously charged with conspiracy to commit arson related to the intentionally set fire that occurred at the Houston bar on June 20, 2020.
Authorities said the incident involved four men carrying 5-gallon containers of flammable liquid into the bar. They poured the substance onto chairs and tables, allowing it to accumulate beneath the deck.
