A tragic incident unfolded in the Clear Lake area of Houston this weekend, when a blue Audi Q5 and a white Honda Accord collided at an intersection, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. Houston Police Department named the deceased as 64-year-old Nazrul Islam, who was behind the wheel of the Honda at the time of the accident, which occurred around 10 a.m. last Saturday, as reported by the City of Houston.
According to the City of Houston’s press release, the Audi was traveling eastbound on Minor Hill Drive, while the Honda was headed north on Pineloch Drive when they met at their ill-fated crossroad. The Honda, carrying both Islam and a 60-year-old female passenger, reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign, leading to the crash. Transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, Islam succumbed to his injuries, and the passenger was listed in stable condition.
