Houston man dies after being struck by 18-wheeler

HOUSTON, Texas — A 44-year-old man has died after being critically injured in an auto-pedestrian crash on Main Street earlier this month. The victim, identified as Blake Sansom, was pronounced dead on May 24.

The incident occurred around 11:20 a.m. on May 13, when a maroon 18-wheeler traveling eastbound struck Sansom as he entered the roadway, according to the Houston Police Department.

The truck’s driver, a 70-year-old man, was unable to avoid the collision. Paramedics transported Sansom to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries…
