If the Houston City Council really wants public feedback, meetings must be later

There is never a good time for a public meeting.

Inevitably, someone will complain that it’s too early, too late, or that there’s too much traffic to get there and not enough parking on arrival.

Still, Houston City Councilmember Mario Castillo’s recent proposal to make one of the weekly public comment meetings per month more accessible to residents by moving the time from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. is a good one…
