For the second time this year, Harris County prosecutors will urge a jury that a Salvadoran national accused of killing a constable’s deputy in 2022 should be sentenced to death.

If convicted and sentenced to die, 55-year-old Oscar Rosales would be older than most of the death row inmates awaiting the same fate. The average age of the condemned for Harris County crimes is about 27 years old, state records show.
