The man wanted by Beaumont police in connection with a fatal shooting on Delaware Street this past weekend is now in custody.
Larry Fitzgerald Williams, 54, was arrested in Houston at 6:45 a.m. Monday by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office working with the Houston Police Department, according to a news release from Beaumont police spokesperson Haley Morrow.
Lewis was wanted on a murder warrant after police allege he shot and killed Brian Lewis while the victim was mowing his lawn. Beaumont detectives do not believe the shooting was random, according to Morrow.
