Grab the umbrella Tuesday because Houston could see downpours. Here’s a rain timeline.

A wet and, at times, stormy pattern in Houston continues Tuesday and it could slow down the evening commute.

This week’s weather includes rain chances through at least Wednesday before the rain risk decreases just a tad. With Pride Houston and Beyoncé in town this weekend, plenty of eyes will be on the skies to see if dry weather will reign supreme.

Tuesday’s storm timing

After Monday brought numerous afternoon showers to Southeast Texas, Tuesday has the potential for even more widespread downpours.

Houston should stay dry through the Tuesday morning commute, so that’s some good news. However, areas along and south of Interstate 10 might have to contend with downpours developing as early as 8 or 9 a.m. Although morning showers developing south of Houston should remain fairly tame, some storms with heavier rainfall could briefly cause reduced road visibility…
