Man accused of hitting sheriff’s deputy with vehicle given $1.2 million bond

A man accused of striking and injuring a St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s deputy with a vehicle had his bond set at $1.2 million.

Justin Michael Miller, 28, of Opelousas, was arrested last Tuesday in Houston, Texas, by U.S. Marshal’s Violent Offender Task Force after the SLPSO accused him of striking a deputy with a vehicle following an incident along LA Highway 182 in Sunset on May 29, according to KATC and SLPSO reports.

Miller was recently transferred for booking at the St. Landry Parish Jail, according to a Wednesday arrest report…
