Suspected Domestic Violence Incident Ends in Tragedy in Southwest Houston, Woman Fatally Stabbed

A woman in her early 40s was pronounced dead at the scene after being fatally stabbed inside an apartment in southwest Houston, confirmed by local authorities. The grim finding occurred last night around 8:30 p.m., along S. Braeswood Boulevard near S. Gessner Road, according to a report from KHOU. The victim’s 13-year-old son discovered his mother’s body, with multiple stab wounds, after returning home from a nearby store. Responding to the situation, Houston Police Department Lt. R. Willkens, noted that the boy had to gain entry through the back door from the patio after finding the front door locked.

Further reporting from KPRC 2 states that the suspected assailant, a man in his 30s who had an on-and-off relationship with the victim, turned himself over to the authorities. He has been identified as the suspected stabber, yet his name has not been disclosed to the public. As the investigation by HPD’s homicide division continues, no formal charges against the suspect have been announced at this stage.

Tragically, the woman, whose name has not been released was undergoing CPR when officers initially reported to the scene.
