HOUSTON (KIAH) – A former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer is facing federal charges for allegedly accepting bribes from bail bond companies.
According to a federal indictment, former deportation officer Jose Angel Muniz is accused of accepting payments from “A Way Out Bail Bonds” owner Leopoldo Perrault Benitez, his son Anthony Benitez, and Isaac Sierra of International Bonding.
