Man Arrested After Choking Woman, Threatening Her with Machete in Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A man has been arrested and charged with Continuous Family Violence Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after allegedly choking a woman and threatening her with a machete knife. The incident occurred on July 3, 2025.

At approximately 2:52 p.m., Harris County Deputy Vollenweider, from Constable Silvia Trevino’s Precinct 6, was dispatched to an assault call near 2821 Canal St. The complainant reported that while at 2326 Nance St, the suspect began arguing with her, grabbed her throat, and then produced a 22-inch-long fixed blade machete knife, threatening to “kill her.” The complainant stated she was able to escape and call for help.

Deputy Vollenweider observed red markings on the complainant’s neck consistent with being strangled. The deputy located the suspect at 2326 Nance St and found the machete knife near where the suspect and complainant had been staying. The suspect was also found to have an open warrant from the Houston Police Department (HPD) for a previous assault on the same complainant…
