Two Houston men indicted for jugging incidents spanning Beaumont to Port Arthur

BEAUMONT, Texas — Two Houston men have been indicted for aggravated robbery in connection with a string of violent jugging robberies in Southeast Texas.

Tyre Hartley, 30, and Hakeem Thomas, 30, were indicted on charges of aggravated robbery following a coordinated effort involving the Beaumont Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), Port Arthur Police Department and Chambers County deputies.

Magistrate Judge Marc Derouen set bond at $250,000 for each defendant. If they post bond, they will be required to wear a GPS monitor and have no contact with the victim…
