HOUSTON, TX – A deceased newborn male infant was discovered by waste collection workers in a residential neighborhood in northwest Houston on August 14, 2024, leading to the arrest and charging of the child’s mother.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 13200 block of Fountain Crest after workers in a waste collection truck servicing the area made the tragic discovery. The infant was found among the collected trash waste.
During the subsequent investigation, 22-year-old Catherine Nicole Innes was identified as the mother. Innes has been charged with Tampering with Evidence-Human Corpse, as she allegedly discarded her newborn baby in the trash. She has been booked into the Harris County Jail…
