Man found dead after shooting, vehicle collision near IAH Thursday

A man with a gunshot wound was found dead inside a car involved in a collision Thursday on Kennedy Boulevard near Bush Intercontinental Airport, police said.

The two-car collision was reported at 1:20 p.m in the 1500 block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard, according to the police command center. A male passenger in one of the vehicles was found dead but it’s unsure if he died from the car accident or the gunshot, a spokesperson for HPD said. The drivers of both vehicles were taken to an area hospital, where they were in stable condition, the spokesperson said.

Police say they believe the shooting occurred in the 200 block of Sam Houston Parkway, the spokesperson said. One person was detained and taken in for questioning in relation to the crash and shooting Thursday evening, the spokesperson said…
