The FBI has launched a new Most Wanted fugitives list in Texas targeting the Houston area and within hours of launching the list, they have seen success. The new list sounds like its been a long time coming with the FBI working with local law enforcement agencies to develop the list that has fugitives that need to be taken off the streets of Houston.
FBI Launches Top Ten Most Wanted in Houston
On Tuesday, the FBI released the first-ever Houston Most Wanted Fugitives list. According to FOX 26 in Houston, the list contains fugitives wanted for charges like murder and robbery. Serious crimes and fugitives that are considered armed and dangerous.
One Fugitive Already Captured
One down, nine to go. According to ABC 13, less than two hours after the FBI announced the new Most Wanted list, Gerrode Smith was captured after a tip lead to his arrest.
Less than two hours, that’s how long Gerrode Terrel Smith spent as one of the most wanted men in Houston before a tip from the public got him arrested. FBI Houston saying he is facing federal bank robbery charges. Around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, a $5,000 award was announced for information leading to his arrest.
