FRIENDSWOOD — A Houston man is behind bars after being linked to the theft of a wheel and tire in Friendswood late last month, police said.
According to a Friendswood Police Department press release on Friday, officers received a report of the theft on July 24 around 9:11 a.m. in the 4500 block of FM 2351. Security footage showed a maroon sedan at the scene the night before, around 11:16 p.m. on July 23.
Investigators identified the vehicle as belonging to Kevin Smith Jr., 27, of Houston. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted felony theft charges, and a warrant for Smith’s arrest was issued…
