A man in his 70s was fatally stabbed early this morning while biking to work in east Houston, confirm police reports. The Houston Police Department says the emergency response was initially triggered by the assumption that the man had been hit by a vehicle, but upon arrival, it became clear that the man had been attacked and stabbed on a nearby bike trail. He somehow managed to get to his place of employment, where he relayed the incident to coworkers before succumbing to his injuries, as reported by Click2Houston.
Despite the quick action of his coworkers in calling 911, the man, whose identity remains undisclosed, died after being taken to the hospital. The attack occurred just outside The Spencer Company on North Drennan Street, where he was an employee.
