Father accused of killing daughter and boss remains on FBI’s Houston most wanted list

HOUSTON — One week after the FBI Houston released its list of top ten most wanted fugitives, nine suspects remain at large, including Rafael Antonio Hernandez, who is accused of killing both his 21-year-old daughter and his boss in August 2023 because he allegedly believed the two were dating.

Hernandez, 44, fatally shot his daughter Wendy in their apartment before driving to his boss’s residence about an hour later and killing 45-year-old Josue Geovanni Argueta, according to Houston Police Chief Noe Diaz. Diaz said Hernandez “shot his daughter in their apartment about one hour before driving to his boss’s residence and fatally shooting him.”

The victim’s mother, Marbelis Rivas, who is Hernandez’s ex-wife, believes jealousy drove her former husband to commit the murders. She said Hernandez “grew angry because Wendy stopped doing what he wanted” and that he couldn’t accept his daughter becoming independent and falling in love…
