Houston man freed after plea deal in fatal cyclist stabbing

HOUSTON (KIAH) — A Houston man facing charges in connection with the stabbing death of a bicyclist who was commuting to work, was recently released from prison following a plea deal with prosecutors related to a prior incident involving violence.

Aaron Sheehan is accused of fatally stabbing 77-year-old Elvir Ortiz on the East End last week. Court records show that Sheehan was previously charged with assault, where he struck a person with a metal pole during the previous year.
