Mayor Thomas Schoenbein returned to work Friday after suffering from a “serious medical emergency” on Aug. 4 at Paseadena City Hall.
Schoenbein, who was elected mayor in June after eight years on the City Council, was taken by Life-Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where the 64-year-old spent a week.
“His story is nothing short of a miracle and we are beyond grateful to everyone who played a part in his recovery, from the quick actions of our first responders to the incredible teams at Memorial Hermann and Life Flight,” city officials wrote on Facebook. “Life Flight even stopped by today to visit, sharing how moved they were by his story and amazed that he’s already back serving our city.”…
