SAN ANTONIO — A man is facing murder charges after posting multiple times on TikTok about a man whom he is accused of driving from Houston to San Antonio to kill.
On May 31, 2025, police responded to a shooting near the 9000 block of Dartbrook Drive, where they found a 34-year-old Awal Kiftan unresponsive with gunshot wounds outside an apartment. The Kistan was pronounced dead at the scene.
A friend of the victim told detectives that Kiftan had received a phone call to meet a woman outside. Shortly after Kiftan stepped out, the witness heard gunshots and found him lying unresponsive on the ground.
