A DRIVER who swerved to avoid road debris was stunned months later when the county sent her a bill for damage to the tollway.

The $187 charge claimed she scuffed and scraped a barrier that needed to be power-washed and repainted.

The ordeal happened in Houston, Texas, after Christine Diaz lost control while trying to avoid a green storage container left in the middle of the Sam Houston Tollway.
