Another familiar face has quietly disappeared from Houston’s local news scene, continuing a wave of exits that’s reshaping one of the city’s biggest TV newsrooms.
This time, it’s ABC 13 reporter Alex Bozarjian who appears to have left the station without public acknowledgement. Her bio was recently removed from the station’s “News Team” page, and her final report—a segment about a herd of loose cattle on I-45—now stands as her last appearance on the air. A request for comment from ABC 13 was not returned as of publication.
Bozarjian arrived at Channel 13 in August 2023 after a stint as a nightside reporter for WXYZ in Detroit. Before that, she held several roles at WSAV in Savannah, Ga., including multimedia journalist, producer, and fill-in anchor.
Her time in Savannah brought national attention in 2019, after she was assaulted on live TV by a race participant who struck her from behind during a broadcast. The clip spread rapidly across social media, prompting widespread outrage and discussion around harassment faced by female journalists.
