Authorities have arrested 31-year-old Kedrick Davol Henry in connection with a shooting that left a man dead in Houston last month. According to the City of Houston, Henry is facing a murder charge for the death of 43-year-old Kenneth Henry Jr., who was found shot in a residence on Church Road.
The shooting occurred around 3:25 p.m. on August 18, and police arrived to discover the victim with a gunshot wound. In a statement obtained by the City of Houston, HPD Homicide Division’s Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Brooks reported that Houston Fire Department paramedics swiftly transported Mr. Henry Jr. to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The victim was reportedly taking out trash when the lethal encounter unfolded, with a witness recalling multiple gunshots prior to Henry Jr.’s collapse.
Following the incident, an investigation led to the identification of Kedrick Davol Henry as the prime suspect. After being on the run, Henry was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service on Monday, in Gretna, Louisiana. He was then booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center and is currently awaiting extradition back to Harris County, officials said.
