Deer Park Police Nab One Suspect in Masked Burglary As Manhunt Continues, Residents Voice Concern Over Communication Delays

Residents in Deer Park, Texas, experienced a police search after a burglary at a business on Underwood Road. The Deer Park Police Department arrested one suspect while others escaped, prompting a manhunt. According to CW39, the incident happened last Friday evening and was not an immediate threat to the community.

Police in tactical gear searched Deer Park for suspects, with a helicopter overhead. A local resident, Chanda Conway, said, “A helicopter flew over for a good 45 minutes and it seemed to get lower and lower,” and added, “I was shocked that an officer couldn’t say, ‘Hey, you know, there’s some suspicious activity. Go inside, lock your doors, turn on your lights.’ Something like that,” as reported by ABC13. The search included officers from La Porte and Houston Police air support.
