Fellow officers and the public Thursday gathered for the funeral of senior Houston Police Department officer Alex Roberts, who was killed in a crash earlier this month near Palestine, Texas.
Roberts was working an extra job as an oversize load traffic escort when the crash happened. His death was considered in the line of duty. He joined the department in 2010.
