Judge tosses Houston rapper’s suit over 4-year jailing on murder charge that was later dismissed

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by a Houston rapper against two homicide detectives and the city, alleging a shoddy investigation led to him being jailed for four years on a murder charge that was later dismissed.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Peter Bray granted the defendants’ motions to dismiss, finding attorneys for 34-year-old Jeffery Archangel didn’t provide enough evidence that the detectives were unreasonable or that the city was liable for the case to continue.
