At least six students from McReynolds Elementary School were hospitalized with heat-related illness after Houston fire officials said the school evacuated due to a nearby gas leak in east Houston.
According to the Houston Fire Department, crews were called at about 10:30 a.m. to a gas leak in the 5900 block of Market Street.
