End of an era as beloved Houston restaurant closing after more than four decades

HOUSTON — One of Houston’s most beloved family-owned restaurants is closing its doors after more than four decades.

In a heartfelt social media post on Tuesday, Kim Son Restaurant announced that its Jefferson Street location will close on October 12, 2025, citing the ongoing I-45 expansion project as the reason.
