Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Arrest and Discovery of Stolen Checks

FRIENDSWOOD — A traffic stop early Tuesday morning led to the arrest of a Richmond woman and the recovery of dozens of stolen checks, according to the Friendswood Police Department.

Around 1:03 a.m. on October 7, an officer observed a black Jeep Compass with Georgia plates driving suspiciously near E. Willowick Avenue and Morningside Drive. After the vehicle dropped off a passenger, the officer stopped it for a traffic violation.

The driver, identified as Jennifer Uchenna Ejismekwu, 26, was taken into custody after officers detected the odor of marijuana and found drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. A firearm was also recovered…
