Texas Woman Convicted of Killing Fifth Husband

Sarah Hartsfield has been convicted of murdering her fifth husband, Joseph Hartsfield, two years ago by administering a fatal dose of insulin, authorities reported.

Joseph Hartsfield, who was diabetic and taking medication that increased his sensitivity to insulin, was admitted to a Houston-area hospital on January 7, 2023, with critically low blood sugar. Medical examiners determined insulin caused toxic effects that contributed to his death.

Investigators found multiple insulin pens near his bed.
