HOUSTON — Supporters gathered Saturday morning at the Pride crosswalks in Montrose, waving flags, cheering as cars honked in support, and sharing why the colorful stripes at Westheimer and Taft mean more than paint to Houston’s LGBTQIA+ community.
“It feels good, there are supporters driving by, it feels like we are seen and we are welcome,” said Kerry-Ann Morrison, the president of Pride Houston 365, which organized the peaceful community gathering.
