Houston police are investigating a shooting on the 6600 block of Harwin Drive on Thursday that left a woman dead and two men wounded. Ronnie D. Mitchell, 42, was arrested after an officer witnessed him allegedly shooting at three people and is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the City of Houston.
An officer from the Midwest Patrol Division fired his weapon after hearing gunfire during an unrelated traffic stop, and the city stated, “The officer discharged his firearm to protect the safety of the citizens.” The victims were transported to a hospital where the female victim died and the two male victims survived with non-life-threatening injuries, and the case remains under investigation by HPD and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, as reported by the City of Houston…
