‘Can’t just drop everything’: Mom wouldn’t take starving, autistic son to hospital – cops

BAYTOWN, Texas (WKRC) – A mother refused to take her 11-year-old nonverbal son to the hospital despite the fact that he weighed only 46 pounds and had feces beneath his fingernails.

An officer with the Baytown Police Department were dispatched to a residence on May 13 for a request of an “urgent welfare check,” according to an affidavit obtained by Law&Crime.

When the officer arrived, she was reportedly allowed into the home by 40-year-old Rachel Nicole Blaylock. The officer claimed the interior was covered in flies and smelled like fecal matter, a scene that nearly made her throw up, the affidavit said…
