Driver killed after violent rollover crash in southeast Houston

HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating a deadly overnight crash in southeast Houston.

According to Sgt. David Rose with HPD’s Vehicle Crimes Division, the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on Airport Boulevard, just west of Cullen. Investigators say a red Ford pickup truck was headed east at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Rose said the truck spun, crossed over the median, hit a concrete manhole, and flipped several times before crashing into a guardrail on the opposite side of the road…
