Woman Arrested After Fatal Crash on Katy Freeway That Killed Two

HOUSTON – A 21-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a fatal crash that killed two people early Friday, October 17, on the 2100 block of the Katy Freeway.

The suspect, Ariel Perry Stewart, faces two counts of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle in the 337th Criminal District Court.

Investigators say Stewart was driving a gray Tesla Model Y eastbound when she failed to control her speed and struck a silver Nissan Sentra. The impact caused the Nissan to spin out, hit a barrier, and catch fire. The male driver and female passenger inside the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics…
