I showed up late to Sylvester Turner’s estate sale.
By the time I pulled up (around 9:30 a.m.) to the Town and Country Estate Sales showroom, where all of the late U.S. congressman, former Houston mayor and longtime state representative’s belongings were laid out to be picked apart by the estate sale diehards and the local politics nerds, the scavengers had already done exactly that.
They had lined up in the dark before doors opened at 8 a.m., and they’ll keep coming through until the sale ends Sunday afternoon…
