Houston Driver Kristina Chambers Sentenced to 11 Years for Manslaughter in Fatal Crash on Victim’s Birthday

Kristina Chambers was sentenced to 11 years and 14 days in prison for manslaughter in the death of Joseph McMullin. The sentence reflects McMullin’s birth date, November 14. The ruling, issued on Monday, also includes a $10,000 fine. The crash occurred in April 2023, according to KHOU.

A fatal accident occurred outside a Voodoo Doughnut bakery on Westheimer Road when Chambers, driving a Porsche at nearly 100 mph, lost control. The car went onto the curb and struck McMullin, who was thrown into the air and hit a pole. Chambers had a blood alcohol content nearly four times the legal limit, and drugs, including cocaine, were found in her car, as reported by FOX26 Houston.
