NEWKIRK — Following a three day trial, a Kay County convicted David Aguilar-Bravo, 39, Houston, Texas, guilty of first degree rape by force or fear and then recommend eight years in prison and that he follow the Sex Offender Registration Act. Aguilar is now convicted of raping a Ponca City woman last year. (see story below)
Kay County Assistant District Attorney Rob Davis made the following statement after the verdict.
“The 8th District Attorney’s Office thanks the members of the jury for their time and attention, and the Ponca City Police Department for their excellent investigation. The 8th District Attorney’s Office commends the exceptional fortitude and perseverance exhibited by the young woman who was victimized by Mr. Bravo-Aguilar. Many people cannot understand the courage required to report this type of crime and live in that trauma for years while the court process plays out.”…
