Transwestern Development Co. has broken ground on the next phase of a 17-acre mixed-use development that could reshape a key corridor between River Oaks and Upper Kirby.
Described by Transwestern as a “once-in-a-generation project,” the RO includes multiple high-end buildings, including a condo-hotel tower tied to Houston billionaire Dan Friedkin. Overall, the RO could cost more than $400 million to develop, construction filings suggest.
