On November 3, 2025, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer was assaulted during an operation in Houston to apprehend Walter Leonel Perez Rodriguez, a citizen of El Salvador.
ICE officers attempted to detain Perez, who has previous convictions, including sexual assault of a minor, multiple DUIs, child fondling, and illegal re-entry into the United States.
