When 22-year-old Kenneth Cutting was found dead in Buffalo Bayou last July, his family was left with more questions than answers. A year later, at least 28 bodies have been recovered from Houston-area bayous, according to reports. Their search for the truth has become part of a growing outcry across the city.
The Houston Police Department maintains there is no evidence of foul play or any link between the cases. However, Cutting’s cousin, Lauren Freeman, said they’ve received little communication from city officials and that updates often come only after they reach out repeatedly.
