Six more of the bodies found in Houston’s bayous this year now have an “undetermined” cause of death, according to the Harris County’s medical examiner.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences case database listed the cause of death as “undetermined” as of Wednesday for Salome Garza, Jamal Alexander, Rodney Chatman, Seth Hansen, Michael Rice and Michaela Miller, whose deaths were reported between June and September. Cause of death was previously pending in each of their cases, and there are now 15 of at least 28 bayou deaths that share the classification this year.
The “undetermined” causes have limited answers about what led up to the series of bodies found in Houston’s bayous as the trend has stoked fears in locals around the city.
