New Selena documentary features never-before-seen footage from Houston’s iconic rodeo performance

HOUSTON — Selena fans are in for a treat tonight: a brand-new Netflix documentary, Selena y Los Dinos, is now streaming, and Houston plays a major role in the film.

The documentary, which debuted to rave reviews at Sundance, features never-before-seen home videos of the Tejano superstar — intimate moments that showcase her life offstage as well as her meteoric rise to fame.

Among the archival footage, viewers may recognize a familiar moment: video from KHOU’s 1994 interview with Selena in Corpus Christi, captured by reporter Ron Trevino.
