Father and son charged with illegal firearms trafficking in Oklahoma

TULSA, Oklahoma — Andres Avila, a 48-year-old from Mexico, and his son, Anthony Avila, a 22-year-old from Houston, Texas, have been charged with illegally trafficking firearms.

The charges follow their alleged involvement in trafficking 75 firearms and ammunition purchased at local gun shows.

The investigation, conducted by ICE Homeland Security Investigations Dallas, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, revealed the Avilas’ alleged activities.
