HOUSTON(CW39)- Storms are possible in Houston and SE Texas towards the end of the week and into the weekend. Shower chances increase on Wednesday as scattered showers pop up during the daytime hours and dry out late Wednesday night. A cold front moves into the region by the end of the week/beginning of the weekend.
The cold front looks to move into the SE Texas region at the earliest Thursday night. Some weather models have delayed the front until Friday afternoon. The front is likely to stall over our area before passing east of Texas late Fri/early Sat.
Impacts to SE Texas
Heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and minor flooding or ponding on roads are the main impacts with this storm. As of Tuesday morning, there is a low risk for these storms to turn severe. With that being said, some storms can be strong.
Flooding Concerns
