Houston Police Seek Help Identifying Person of Interest in Fatal Stabbing of Local Teen on Katy Freeway

Houston police are asking for the public’s help to identify a person of interest in the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Franklin Torres-Concho. The incident happened at about 7:50 a.m. on September 30, 2025, at 4512 Katy Freeway. Officers found the teenager unresponsive in a vacant lot with several stab wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police describe the person of interest as a male with short hair and possibly a mustache. He was seen with the victim before the incident. Police have released surveillance photos of this individual, who has not been charged. Anyone with information is asked to contact the HPD Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers.
