HOUSTON, Texas – Two days after the Washington Post ranked two of Houston’s roads amongst the highest in pedestrian deaths, the city of Houston said a 73-year-old woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on Friday morning.
Houston police responded to the accident in the 9500 block of Wesheimer Road around 6:20 a.m.
Officers said a Dodge Ram truck was traveling westbound on Westheimer Road when the 74-year-old woman failed to yield the right of way and entered the road. The driver of the Dodge truck hit the woman, and she was pronounced dead at the scene…
